It is with great pride and joy that we can announce that our athlete, Georgios Balarjishvili has obtained the required qualification criteria to take place in the Youth Olympic Games that will be held in Buenos Aires in Argentina on 6-20 October, 2018.

This is FANTASTIC news as the qualification process for the Youth Olympic Games is extremely difficult due to the number of athletes wanting to compete and the reduced amount of weight categories. It is important to note from all the sports, only FIVE athletes from Cyprus have qualified to compete and one of those is our Giorgios for the sport of Judo!

Giorgios has made us all proud and we would like to take this opportunity to wish him the very best for the games ahead!
