Following Nicola Evripidou’s Bronze at the Commonwealth Judo Championship, it was the turn of Giannis Antoniou in the +73Kg category Pre-Cadets (13 and 14 year olds).

Giannis came up against four other athletes – two from England, one from Scotland and one from India – all of which have international experience.

First up was Loic Keasey from England – Giannis won with IpponNext was Alexander Hutchinson – Giannis won with Ippon
Third was Daniel Ede from England – Giannis won with Ippon
Finally, it was Pollobjyoti Gohain from India – Giannis won with Ippon

It was a very good performance from Gianni – it shows that he is another talent we have here in Cyprus.
